Richmond, VA – June 11, 2020 – Coffee wakes us up, warms us, provides us with mental focus and comforts us. So to does the word of God. For serial author, inspirational speaker, mother of three and retired US Air force Major, T. Pearl Joynz, coffee and faith have always held a special place in her heart and play a significant roll in her latest book, Always Start your Day with C.O.F.F.E.E.

The book’s title is a touching tribute to Joynz’s grandmother, whose last piece of advice to her was to start each day with coffee. Joynz’s took the advice to heart and wrote the Christian lifestyle focused book “Always Start your Day with C.O.F.F.E.E.” The coffee in question is an acronym which stands for Confidence, Obedience, Fervent Prayer, Fruit of the Spirit, Earnest Expectation, and Everlasting Life. In the book, Joynz explains how each of these becomes a path towards being closer to God each morning.

The book is intended to provide insights into the word of God and to better examine passages and sections of the Bible. Through her examination, explanation and storytelling, Joynz shows how the words and advice of God are applicable to the everyday situations faced by the reader and to current events. One particularly timely devotional, entitled, “enough,” speaks to the church’s response and serves as a call to action for followers of Jesus Christ.

“The process of writing this book reminded me of the slow-brewed coffee pot of my youth,” explains Joynz. “Its aroma filled the room before we ever got to take a sip from it. According to my grandmother, it was always worth the wait. We would bake and talk while the coffee would brew and she would laugh enough to make her whole body shake. Her smile and laughter were both infectious. Her positive energy never seemed to end, much like God’s endless love and support of us.”

The book is meant to promote healing and sets the reader up to meditate not only on the words and intentions of scripture but to integrate these words into the reader’s day, allowing them to receive the sustenance they need each day.

“I am so humbled to be able to provide words of comfort to women of Christian faith.
